During her acceptance speech Lorraine emphasised her passion for the Young Start-up Talent initiative. That very morning, she had been at a school in Brighton and gave a workshop to 450 sixth form students to inspire and encourage them to have a 'can-do' attitude towards business, and to take part in the initiative where young entrepreneurs receive coaching and mentoring to develop their business ideas and could go on to receive a £50,000 prize fund worth of business products and services to help start their business. A recent winner of the Brighton region, Natalie Evans, submitted her business idea, '42Juice' for fresh organic juices made up of 100% raw, cold-pressed fresh fruit and vegetables and has just opened her first shop in Market Street in Brighton’s Lanes.
The Young Start-up Talent also runs in other regions in Sussex and Kent, with the latest region about to start in Croydon.
In September of this year, Lorraine was guest speaker at the International Youth Time conference held in Rhodes, Greece where 100 Countries were represented.
